Jimmy
Akins was admitted to Hospice Palliative Care of Alamance and Caswell Counties
in Burlington Friday afternoon, and died Monday afternoon, August 13, 2012.
Hello Checker players, you recall we took up
two love offerings for “Jimmy,” one at Southern and our last offering in Lebanon at the
Nationals. We visited “Jimmy” and most of his immediate family Saturday evening at
Hospice. We gave him (sister) the final offering of $205.00 and a ACF baseball cap, he was really
sick but I think he knew who we were and that we brought him a cap. This was the
last time Mike Ross, Teal, Bill, & Trey Stanley, and myself visited with him...
I will post his funeral arrangements later.
